Your agreement with Travel Genie for Malaysian travel experiences
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Travel Genie's services, visiting our website, or booking any travel arrangements, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services Provided
Travel Genie provides comprehensive Malaysian travel services including:
- Custom itinerary planning and travel consultation
- Hotel and accommodation bookings
- Transportation arrangements (flights, transfers, car rentals)
- Tour guides and local experience bookings
- Restaurant reservations and food experiences
- Travel insurance recommendations and assistance
- 24/7 customer support during your Malaysian travels
3. Booking and Payment Terms
Deposits
20-50% deposit required to confirm bookings
Final Payment
Due 30 days before travel date
Currency
Prices quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM)
Payment Methods
Bank transfer, credit cards, online banking
- All prices are subject to availability and may change without notice
- Additional charges may apply for last-minute changes or special requests
- Payment confirmation secures your booking and travel arrangements
- Travel Genie acts as an intermediary between you and service providers
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
- More than 60 days: 10% cancellation fee
- 31-60 days: 25% cancellation fee
- 15-30 days: 50% cancellation fee
- Less than 14 days: 75-100% cancellation fee
- No-show: 100% forfeiture of payment
Refunds will be processed within 14-21 business days after approval. Some services may be non-refundable due to supplier policies.
5. Travel Documentation and Requirements
You are responsible for ensuring you have valid travel documents:
- Valid passport with at least 6 months validity
- Appropriate visas for international travel
- Travel insurance coverage (strongly recommended)
- Health certificates or vaccinations if required
- Compliance with Malaysian immigration requirements
Travel Genie will provide guidance but cannot be held responsible for denied entry due to invalid documentation.
6. Health and Safety
Your safety is our priority, but you acknowledge that travel involves inherent risks:
- Follow local health and safety guidelines
- Inform us of any medical conditions or dietary restrictions
- Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all bookings
- We are not liable for illness, injury, or accidents during travel
- Force majeure events (natural disasters, political unrest) may affect itineraries
7. Liability and Limitations
We are not responsible for:
- Actions or negligence of third-party service providers
- Flight delays, cancellations, or schedule changes
- Weather-related disruptions or natural disasters
- Loss or damage to personal belongings
- Changes in exchange rates affecting final costs
- Government policy changes affecting travel plans
8. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including itineraries, photos, and travel guides, is protected by copyright:
- Travel Genie owns all original content and branding
- You may not reproduce or distribute our content without permission
- Photos and reviews you provide may be used for marketing purposes
- We respect third-party intellectual property rights
9. Data Protection and Privacy
We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with Malaysian data protection laws:
- Your data is collected and used as outlined in our Privacy Policy
- We comply with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) 2010
- Data sharing is limited to completing your travel arrangements
- You have rights to access, correct, and delete your personal data
10. Dispute Resolution
In the event of any disputes:
- Contact us first to resolve issues amicably
- Mediation through Malaysian travel industry associations
- Disputes are governed by Malaysian law
- Jurisdiction lies with Malaysian courts
11. Special Conditions
- Peak season surcharges may apply during festivals and holidays
- Group bookings (10+ people) have special terms and conditions
- Corporate travel arrangements have separate pricing structures
- Loyalty program benefits and terms are subject to change
